In 2023, most participants of social insurance (both compulsory and voluntary) will be received a pension when they fully meet 2 conditions: Full 20 years of paying social insurance premiums and full 60 years old and 9 months for men, full 56 years old for female. Except for cases where employees participating in compulsory social insurance work in hazardous environments, difficult areas, suffering from dangerous diseases, etc., they are considered for pension before the retirement age.
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 56 of the Law on Social Insurance in 2014, employees who are eligible for pension and retire in 2023 will receive a monthly pension equal to 45% of the monthly average income of social insurance premiums if they have paid social insurance for 20 years (for male employees), 15 years (for female employees). After that, for every additional year of social insurance payment, the employee's pension will be increased by 2%. The maximum benefit level is 75% for both male and female employees.
