Fully Featured IDE Based on Eclipse Red Hat Developer Suite is a member of the Red Hat Applications product family. It provides a fully featured Integrated Development Environment (IDE) based on the open source Eclipse project for application developers. Eclipse provides an environment for developers to efficiently create a variety of applications in a rapidly growing set of languages, including support for C/C++ and Java application development. Eclipse supports a wide range of operating systems beyond Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows ME and Sun Solaris 8. This simplifies migration of developer skills and applications from these platforms to Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Plug-in Capability Eclipse also supports a plug-in capability that allows language- and environment-specific extensions.
